The schools of Las Torres de Cotillas participating in the environmental campaign to decorate municipal green areas during last Christmas were honored on Friday, January 24.
And is that the City of Torreño presented the centers with a batch of books to thank the work of their students, who made with recycled materials various Christmas motifs, such as gifts, dolls, bells, etc.
"These decorations were hung in the trees of the squares Mayor, Adolfo Suárez and Huertano", says the Councilor of Festivities, Amalia Perez, who participated in the event along with Councilor for Education, Pedro Cabrera.
"The schools participating in this initiative were 'Susarte', 'Vista Alegre', 'Valentín Buendía', 'El Parque' and 'Monte Azahar', and we hope to repeat it next Christmas," explains Cabrera.
This initiative sought to raise awareness among the school population about the importance of recycling and environmental protection, supported by fun activities for children.
