The Environment Council of Las Torres de Cotillas organized on Sunday 2 April a day of environmental volunteering on the Rambla Salada as it passes through the municipality, in collaboration with the scout group 'Itaca'.
"The participants carried out reforestation, cleaning, pruning support and improvement of the green path," explains the councilor of the area, Inmaculada Fernández, who emphasizes support in the care of this area of ​​the Scout group Torreño founded in 1998 and currently Has about fifty members.
With the meeting point of the Municipal Albergue, the numerous people attending this environmental event - which also had the support of the companies' Hidrogea ',' Desarrollos Paisajísticos' and 'Urbaser'- proceeded to the planting of several natural species to improve this natural environment.
La Rambla Salada is an important ecological corridor of 27 kilometers that connects Sierra Espuña with the river Segura and connects the municipalities of Pliego, Mula, Albudeite, Las Torres de Cotillas and Murcia.
