The City Council of Las Torres de Cotillas, through its Department of Health, has called on neighbors owners of plots and plots to fulfill their obligation to maintain their properties in the right conditions of hygiene and safety.
"We have detected in our usual reviews that, with the rains this winter, have been worsened by the growth of vegetation," explains the councilor of the area, Inmaculada Fernández, who states that "in recent months have opened more than 250 files of Orders of execution of cleaning that affect almost 500 solar ".
As established by law, the owners of land and plots in conditions of health and safety are the responsibility of the owners.
Once it is verified after the inspection that the conditions are not adequate, the file begins, in which the owner is located and notified of the cleaning obligation.
After the deadlines established by law, if these tasks are not met, the City Council may execute them in a subsidiary manner, turning the cost to the owner.
"Sometimes because of causes outside the Department can not notify the owners and the resolutions must be published in the BOE, which makes the file lengthened and not resolved as quickly as we would like," acknowledges the mayor.
Neighborhood collaboration
"We also request the collaboration of our neighbors so that if they know cases they will contact the Council, where they will be informed of the procedures performed regarding the property they indicate and if there is no file, it will start immediately," Fernández says.
For this you can call the phone 968.626.511 or person in the Department of Health, located in the City Hall (Adolfo Suarez Square, s / n).
