The sprinter Ángel Salinas (club 'Athletics Las Torres') has been received by the Mayor of Las Torres de Cotillas, Domingo Coronado, on the morning of Friday 30 June on the occasion of the last great results at the national level of the athlete Torreño.
And is that Salinas was hung last weekend two silver and bronze in the Championship of Veterans Athletics in the open air in Elche, where he proved his importance in the category of over 60 years.
Salinas was second in the 100 meters (13.90 seconds) and 400 meters (1: 01.99), and third in the 200 meters (27.65 seconds).
In addition, Salinas has also presented at this event - which also included the Councilor for Physical Activity and Sports, Ginés Pérez - the preseas that got in the same category of the national indoor track played last March in Madrid: a gold in The 400 meters smooth, a silver in the 200 and a bronze in the 60.
"It is a pride to have this great athlete in our town, who is always giving us sporting joys like the three golds that were hung just two weeks ago in the same tests in the Regional outdoors," says Coronado.
