The amateur theater group 'Tejuba' from Las Torres de Cotillas will close its performance season tomorrow, Saturday, July 1 (21 hours) in the House of Culture 'Pedro Serna' of the municipality.
And he will do it with a free entry in which he will recover a work from his classic repertoire, which for years did not represent: 'Bajarse al moro', by José Luis Alonso de Santos.
Framed in the middle of the 80's, it is a comedy that won the National Theater Prize in 1986 and that encompasses very well all the idiosyncrasy of this era.
Debtor of the sainetes of the early twentieth century, this work follows that line in which reflects a castizo Madrid populated by losers and beloved characters who survived as they could in the worst neighborhoods of the city.
"We said goodbye to a very intense period of work, as we have just celebrated the events of our 50th anniversary and that will culminate with the honor of giving the proclamation in the Patron Saint's Festivities next August," says its director, Joaquin Cantero, who says that they will return "in September with renewed forces".
