Many laughter and applause heard on the night of Saturday July 1 in the House of Culture 'Pedro Serna' members of the theater group 'Tejuba'.
And it is that amateur actors Torreños put on the scene a work of their classic repertoire, which for years did not represent: the comedy 'Bajarse al moro' by José Luis Alonso de Santos.
Framed in the middle of the 80's, it is a comedy that won the National Theater Prize in 1986 and that encompasses very well all the idiosyncrasy of this era.
Debtor of the sainetes of the early twentieth century, this work follows that line in which reflects a castizo Madrid populated by losers and caring characters who survived as they could in the worst neighborhoods of the city.
They will be criers
With this performance with free admission the theatrical group closed its season of performances, saying goodbye to some very intense months of work.
"We have just celebrated the events of our 50th anniversary, which will culminate with the honor of giving the proclamation in the festivities next August," says its director, Joaquín Cantero, who says that they will return "in September with renewed forces ".
