219 boys and girls are already participating in the 'Cervantes' school in the School of Summer Conciliation, organized by the Council of Equality of Las Torres de Cotillas and visited on Thursday 13 July by the mayor Torreño, Domingo Coronado, and The director general of Women and Equality of Opportunities, Alicia Barquero.
This school's schedule is from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with a daily dining service for about 80 participants and a service that helps families reconcile their work and family life.
As a novelty this year, it should be noted that the children attending are involved in educational and recreational activities focused on intercultural integration.
"These tasks are based on the care of the environment and the values ​​of respect, coexistence and social integration, as well as working transversally on co-responsibility in the home, coeducation and gender equality," says the mayor of Equality, Maria Dolores Sánchez, who also participated in the visit.
"In addition, to have fun and fight against the heat water parties are held two days a week," says Sánchez.
85 children with scholarship
A school in which 85 children from families with whom they work from the municipal area of ​​Social Services have been granted scholarships to prevent social exclusion.
"In addition to participating in the activities of the school itself, they are provided with the dining service to ensure a balanced and healthy diet in the summer," explains the mayor, who points out that these scholarships are co-funded by the City of Las Torres de Cotillas and the 'Probitas Foundation'.
