The work of control and awareness of the excess speed in the municipality of Las Torres de Cotillas.

For this reason, the Local Police will carry out a mobile radar control campaign between 18 and 21 July in various areas of the municipality.

"We continue to receive complaints from our neighbors about the speed that some cars circulate for our people and our work is to raise awareness of the drivers of the need to adapt their speed to the characteristics of each road, to avoid those violations and to increase road safety" , Explains the Councilor for Security, Gloria Fernández.

This new campaign will take place in the avenues Ricardo Montes, Reyes Católicos and La Florida.

"Excessive or inappropriate speed is behind most traffic accidents, so drivers have to be aware of the need to respect traffic regulations," says Fernandez, who remembers that going faster than the count at the wheel "Reduces reaction time, hinders vehicle control and rectifying the trajectory, and alters sensory performance."

Improve road signposting

Specifically, mechanisms that affect the speed control of vehicles, such as ribs or reducing bands, will be installed.
