The City Council of Las Torres de Cotillas continues with its program of improvement of municipal sports facilities.
Now it is his turn to the soccer field 7 located next to the House of Culture 'Pedro Serna', which for years offered ground service and in which work has already begun to install artificial turf.
"In this way we will decongest the municipal field 'Onofre Fernández Verdú', which has about 1,500 users between football clubs, participants in the amateur league and fixed rentals," said Councilor for Physical Activity and Sports, Ginés Pérez.
These works have a maximum execution time of two months and a budget that exceeds 136,000 euros.
"The project contemplates the creation of a soccer field 7 and, transversal to this, two soccer fields 5", says the mayor.
Three courts
After adjusting the enclosure will proceed to a total paving with asphalt, plus a small part with concrete hearth.
It will be on the asphalted surface where will be located a field of game of artificial turf of 64x44 square meters that will contain in its interior the fields of game, whereas the width of the bands and the bottoms will be of two meters.
The projected drainage system will be horizontal, as the layers of asphalt are impermeable and will be limited to a lateral channel that will evacuate the waters to municipal rainwater network.
In addition, the project includes the sports equipment necessary for the practice of football 7 and football 5. "In addition, a fully automatic irrigation system has been designed, with four powerful cannons emerging in each of the corners of the field" , Explains Pérez.
