The Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries today published in the Official Gazette of the Region (BORM) the award of works of the sanitation collector in the street Almería and avenue of Los Pulpites, in Las Torres de Cotillas, for an amount of 198,379 euros and a period of execution of one month.
The section of sanitation network that runs through the streets of Almería and Salamanca, as well as the avenue of Los Pulpites in the vicinity of its intersection with the aforementioned streets, as well as with Alicante street, is formed by very ancient pipes of concrete in mass of diameters between 200 and 300 millimeters that are very deteriorated.
In addition, they have little slope and their capacity is insufficient due to the increase in the last years of both population and the produced flows.
To solve the problems in the aforementioned sections of the municipal sanitation network, the Ministry, through the General Directorate of Water, has planned the implementation of new PVC pipes of greater capacity.
The planned works consist of the execution of a 405 meter long manifold, with corrugated PVC pipe of 500 mm diameter in the avenue of Los Pulpites and Alicante street and of another manifold of 153 meters in length, with corrugated PVC pipe and 400 mm in diameter, in the streets Almería and Salamanca.
The works will be completed with the replacement of the affected services and the paving of the streets.
