The City Council of Las Torres de Cotillas wanted to pay homage on the night of Monday, September 25, to the young woman of 20 years who was killed, a victim of gender violence, in the town of Cartagena Canteras.
And he did so at the conclusion of the full municipal ordinary, after a plea from the municipal group Cambio Las Torres, keeping a minute of silence in memory of this woman and as repulsed by his violent death.
With this murder, which took place yesterday morning, the number of victims of sexist violence in the Region of Murcia rises to three during 2017.

It is recalled that Las Torres de Cotillas has a Specialized Care Center for Women Victims of Violence (CAVI), which provides psychological, social and legal assistance to all women who suffer or have suffered mistreatment at the hands of their partners or ex-partners, or who think they may be in a similar situation.
In its dependencies it counts on a psychologist, a lawyer and a social worker, that offer service to women of the municipalities of the Towers of Cotillas, Ceutí, Lorquí, Alguazas and Fields of the River.
"The objective of this comprehensive, personalized and free care is to provide tools for women to become aware of their ability to break with the situation they are experiencing, and to assume for themselves the control of their own lives," explains the Councilor for Equality , María Dolores Sánchez.
