Next Friday, October 6 will officially begin the Patron Saint's Festivities in the La Florida neighborhood of Las Torres de Cotillas, which are celebrated every year in honor of the Virgen del Pilar.
And it will do so with an evening to be held in the sports courts (22 hours), where the festive proclamation will be held by the neighbor Joaquín Dólera and the gala election of children's queens. On Saturday, October 7, the program of events will bring various proposals: the parade of floats (17'30 hours), the 'Night of the migas' (21'30 hours) and a musical performance and show (22'30 hours).
The next day - Sunday 8 October - and to complete the weekend the day will be very busy.
In the first hour, the "Friends of the Bicycle" (8 hours), organized by Ciclos Sarabia, will take place, while in the middle of the morning a pilgrimage of the Rociera (10'30 hours) will depart from the Ermita, arriving at the Church of Our Lady Lady of the Salceda, where at 12 o'clock a Mass will be officiated.
Two more appointments on that day: at 14:15 pm local aperitif in the park next to the festival grounds and at 17:30 bingo in the neighborhood center.
Final stretch
The night of Wednesday, October 11 is set in the festive program as a great evening of coexistence.
First it will be eaten and drunk in the 'Night of the barbecue' (21 hours), in which the meat and the beer will be in charge of the festival commission;
and then dance with the musical performance (22 hours) proposed in the sports courts, where there will also be raffles.
On Thursday, October 12, the day of Our Lady of the Pillar, a shrine in honor of the patron saint will be held in the chapel (12 hours), which will include an offering of flowers and food and the blessing of those born this year.
At lunchtime a paella (14'30 hours) will arrive at a local food that will be responsible for the commission of parties on the sports courts.
In the afternoon, a special bingo for parties (17'30 hours) and at nightfall procession of the patron saint (20'30 hours), at the end of which a fireworks castle will put an end to the holidays.
As a token of these festivities on Sunday, October 29, a motocross exhibition will be held at the circuit 'Valiente Racing Park', where you can enjoy great drivers and good moments of this exciting sport of two wheels.
