The president of the Transparency Council of the Region of Murcia, José Molina, gave a talk on the morning of Wednesday, October 4, to the members of the women's association 'Isabel González' Las Torres de Cotillas.
This activity, which was also attended by Mayor Torreño, Domingo Coronado, took place in the plenary hall of the local town hall and was held to celebrate the 'International Day of Right to Know'.
"This date is recognized by the United Nations and its objective is to claim the right to access information from public administrations to facilitate citizen participation and ensure accountability," explains Coronado, who recalls that the entity chaired by Molina mainly works to guarantee that right.
In addition, its functions include evaluating the degree of implementation and compliance with transparency obligations by entities and institutions subject to them, and may make recommendations for the best performance of such obligations.
