The women of the club 'Petanca La Salceda' have managed to proclaim themselves runners-up of the First Division of the National League of clubs, a magnificent result that has earned them to ascend to Honor Division.
A competition that took place last weekend in Santa Susana (Barcelona) and that puts the end point to the season in regards to the national competitions.
The Torreñas - who competed in this tournament with seven other clubs having won the Regional League - added 60 points, only behind the Valencian Aspe that got a total of 64. Eight were the members of the team that participated in Catalan lands: Maria Isabel Bosque, Dolores García, Consuelo Romera, Nerea García, Cathy Soriano, Verónica Soriano and Silvia Soriano.
"We want to congratulate our beloved players of the 'La Salceda Petanque', which year after year and competition after competition give us many joys and of which we are immensely proud in Las Torres de Cotillas," explains Councilor for Physical Activity and Sports , Ginés Pérez.
