Torreño Rafael Rodríguez has been distinguished in a national contest of short stories promoted by the banking entity 'Caixabank'.
Under the motto 'What moves my life', this contest reduced to 4,000 characters the works that could be presented from any corner of the country.
"Rafael has been selected in the category of older people among more than 2,000 participants, a real success for which we want to congratulate him wholeheartedly," explains Councilor for Social Services, María Dolores Sánchez.
Rafael's story, called 'Brushstrokes of a Life', includes different experiences of his existence, among which are those related to his family.
"Rafael, already retired, collaborates voluntarily in one of the computer workshops of the Social Center of Older people of our municipality," notes the mayor, who points out that with the selected stories will be published a book whose benefits will be donated to a disability association .
