The local body of Civil Protection has just installed a new semiautomatic defibrillator (DESA) in the municipal sports center of Las Torres de Cotillas.
With this and there are eight units that the municipality has, of which four were supplied by the Football Federation of the Region of Murcia (FFRM).
These devices are located in the pavilion of the Municipal Sports Center, in the municipal pavilion 'Mireia Belmonte', in the soccer field 'Onofre Fernández Verdú', in the sports center 'Sport Group Las Torres', in the sports pavilion of the IES' Salvador Sandoval 'and on the 7 football field next to the House of Culture.
"In addition, Civil Protection has in possession two of these devices, which move to the events that are organized in the town," says Councilor for Physical Activity and Sports, Ginés Pérez, who notes that "the work continues to be a cardioprotected municipality ".
"These tools are very effective for most of the so-called cardiac arrests because they return the proper rhythm to the heart," explains Pérez, who recalls that there are already about fifty sports monitors and members of the City Council staff who have been trained. in basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation and defibrillator management thanks to the municipal courses developed by his area.
