Two days of sightseeing in the capital of our country.
That was enjoyed by a large group of members of the 'Isabel González' women's association of Las Torres de Cotillas, who traveled to Madrid on November 18 and 19.
Among other activities, the expedition - with its president Amalia Pérez at the head - made several cultural visits through the city center and attended the popular musicals of 'The Lion King' and 'The Bodyguard'.
But the activities of this association do not end here this year, since they still have more appointments pending.
The penultimate month of the year will also have another activity: next 29 the association will collaborate with the Department of Equality in the activities proposed on the occasion of the 'International Day Against Gender Violence'.
The trimester will conclude with the appointments of December: the 1st will be the traditional dinner and the 5 the tasting of Christmas sweets, which this time will take place in the cafeteria 'Garden' of the municipality.
Learning about recycling
Last week the Torreñas attended on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 15, a talk on recycling held at the Women's Center of the municipality.
This talk, sponsored by the Consumers Union, was given by professionals of the company 'Ecoembes', non-profit environmental organization that promotes sustainability and environmental care through recycling.
The torreñas were formed in the difference of materials at the time of recycling, they could learn a little more about the process of treatment of these waste products and were aware of the importance of this work in defense of the environment.
