On foot or on skates to say no to gender violence.
This was expressed on the afternoon of Saturday November 25 the municipality of Las Torres de Cotillas, where the Department of Equality and the association 'Jacaranda' organized the third edition of the march against gender violence in the municipality.
First, an event was held in the Adolfo Suárez square, where Mayor Torreño, Domingo Coronado, and the General Director of Women, Alicia Barquero, spoke.
In him a minute of silence was kept by all the women murdered by their partners or ex-partners and by all the girls and boys murdered by the partners or ex-partners of their mothers, also considered as victims.
In addition, an institutional manifesto was read and mention was made of the women murdered throughout 2017.
Subsequently, the participants began a tour of the streets of the municipality under the motto 'Patina or walk, but ... move!'
and of 4'5 kilometers adapted to all the ages to whose conclusion the cultural association 'Brodguay' of the municipality gave a fun masterclass.
"We sold more than 600 dorsal solidarity for the modest price of 2 euros, whose collection will be for the work of the cultural and social association BETO", explains the councilwoman of the area, María Dolores Sánchez, who recalls that this activity, as every year , was organized on the occasion of the celebration of November 25, 'International Day Against Gender Violence'.
