On the night of Monday, November 27, he submitted his resignation to the municipal council after spending the last 14 years in office.
"I am 64 years old and I have the feeling of having fulfilled my duties, during which I can say that Las Torres de Cotillas has prospered, has improved as a town and offers a better quality of life to its neighbors," says the former mayor Torreño, who will continue to occupy act of councilor until the next plenary session, in which he will abandon it.
"Just two months ago we canceled the municipal debt and 2018 will be a great year for our municipality, with large projects on the starting line," says Coronado, who is replaced by the first deputy mayor, Ángel González.
And it will do so until the celebration of the next extraordinary plenary session, which will take place next Monday, December 4 and in which the person who replaces him will be elected.
Four elections won
Coronado, belonging to the popular group and that will continue occupying his post of regional deputy until the end of the term, has won in the municipality Torreño uninterrupted municipal elections of 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015. "I will deliver the stick with a smile The one that gives me all the love received during these years and especially in the last few days. I hope I have not disappointed anyone, I have not failed anyone, the love received by many at least makes me think that I have achieved it. I have to say, I've had 14 years to say it all, "says Coronado.
