As every year, the Department of Social Services of Las Torres de Cotillas has celebrated the 'International Day of the Volunteer' with a lunch at the Center for the Elderly of the municipality.
It involved volunteers and beneficiaries of the social volunteer program of the Department of Social Services, who also received a poinsettia as a gift.
"This program encourages solidarity and active participation of citizens to apply it in different areas and areas that make up the life of our municipality," explains the councilor of the area, María Dolores Sánchez, who has also attended this endearing and traditional act .
"The volunteers are trained and coordinated for their training in different jobs," recalls the mayor.
