Torrena player Cristina Pérez, in her first official tournament with the Spanish futsal team, won the 'IV Nations' tournament in Guadalajara.
The Spaniards defeated Portugal in the final (4-2), completing an immaculate participation after beating Russia (2-1) and Italy (3-0).
The Torrena, captain of the UCAM First Division Futsal, debuted with the 'Red' on November 14 in a friendly played in Ciudad Real against Russia.
Cristina, 25 years old and playing pivot, has already added five internationals and starts accumulating serious options to play the European Championship in 2019.
"We congratulate Cristina for this first international achievement and we are very proud of her and of the evident progress she is having in her career, as evidenced by her participation with the Spanish national team," said the mayoress of Torrena, Isabel María Zapata, who received the footballer at the Torreño City Council last Monday, December 11, accompanied by his Councilor for Physical Activity and Sports, Ginés Pérez.
