The good health of the municipal accounts of Las Torres de Cotillas -the City Council completely eliminated its debt in September- begins to be reflected in benefits for the residents of the municipality.
These translate into tax rebates on municipal taxes and certain bonuses, as well as the elimination of public fees and prices for the provision of services.
"The rate chart for mechanical traction vehicles, the 'car stamp', has been reduced by 5%, including a 50% bonus for hybrid vehicles and 75% for electric vehicles or zero emissions" , highlights the mayor Isabel María Zapata.
In addition, a modification has been introduced in the personalized system of payment of this tax, so that taxpayers can distribute the payment of the annual fee up to three installments (March, April and May) with a bonus of 5% on the fee. full of the tax, being able to request it in collection or by telephone until January 31 of corresponding year.
"The contribution and effort of the inhabitants of Las Torres de Cotillas in the worst moments of the crisis has to be reciprocated, and that is the main reason for this drop in taxes," says Zapata.
In this line, the fee for the provision of urban transport service, home help and telecare services have been completely eliminated.
Modifications in the IBI
In addition, the personalized payment system of the Property Tax (IBI) has also been modified.
"The taxpayer can distribute the payment of the annual installment in four installments (July, August, September and October) with a bonus of 5% on the full tax payment, being able to request it until April 30 of the corresponding year", explains the Councilor for Economy and Finance, Ángel González.
The rates have also been lowered in other rates, such as garbage (5%), to which a bonus of another 5% can be added if it is domiciled.
"In the tax on buildings, facilities and work has been established a bonus of up to 50% for those tasks that promote the objective creation of employment," says González.
Telephone service
Another measure related to tax management will be the launch on January 2 of a telephone assistance system (968,626,093) that will allow for a non-contact service hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Monday to Friday. being able to assist taxpayers will require their identification providing information known by both parties ", González explains, pointing out that" procedures such as the verification or modification of basic data, the request for information about receipts and outstanding debts, calendar of payments, of charges in account, of the state of the management files, among others ".
And to avoid unnecessary displacements to the citizens it is going to enable the registration of entry and exit of documents in the collection office from January 2, so that the taxpayer in the office can perform all their paperwork.
