Tomorrow Thursday December 28 (21 hours) the House of Culture 'Pedro Serna' of Las Torres de Cotillas welcomes the delivery of the 13th edition of the awards' Torreños del Año ', awarded by the municipal radio station' Onda 92-Radio Cotillas'.

This year these distinctions will be for three outstanding Torreños who for their tenacity, perseverance and capacity for effort and sacrifice have become creditors of this award established in 1993. It is the musician Rafa Val, the veteran athlete Angel Salinas and the soccer player Cristina Pérez room, three people who also "exude other qualities no less important as their humility, sympathy, closeness and sensitivity, which dignify the trajectory of this award", says José Antonio Sánchez, member of the organization.

The awards ceremony will be presented by Salvador Martínez, María Ángeles Moragues, Paco Galera and Jesús Aguilar, broadcasters of the Torreña municipal radio station.

Three Torreños with important merits

Rafa Val, voice and guitar of the group 'Viva Suecia' that have managed to become a benchmark in the national music scene, triumphing in the main festivals and venues of our country.

In 2016, the band from Murcia managed to win the Independent Music Award for the best song with 'Bien por ti', included in their debut album 'La fuerza mayor'.

This year 2017, they have been nominated in the category of 'Best Spanish Artist' at the MTV European Music Awards, along with artists of the stature of Miguel Bosé, 'Lori Meyers', C. At 64, Ángel Salinas is one of the most successful athletes in the municipality.
