The House of Culture 'Pedro Serna' Las Cotillas de Cotillas has hosted on Wednesday morning January 17 an activity organized by the school 'The Park', in collaboration with the Department of Education, to bring the world of opera to their school children.
Coordinated by the Department of Music and under the title of 'Once upon a time the opera', more than 200 students of the center participated in this cultural day.
The students have been able to learn more about the history of this musical genre, its main characteristics, songs, instruments, authors, etc.
"The actors have interacted a lot with the children, playing with them, singing and making the activity very enjoyable," says the school's director, Gerardo González, who notes that "many students have come out singing, they have had a great time".
A school in which they are already preparing for the next January 30 (10 hours) a charity race to celebrate the 'Day of Peace' and support the local association 'Sonrisas Solidarias'.
"This approach to the opera has been a very interesting, attractive and novel, that has delighted the kids," says Councilor for Education, Pedro Cabrera, who notes that "initiatives like this will always have the support of the City."
