Work has already begun on a new 'asphalt operation' with which the City of Las Torres de Cotillas will renew the sign of various streets of the municipality thanks to an investment of 120,000 euros.
"This action, which also includes the placement of speed reducing bands, aims to improve road safety in the town," explains City Councilor for Maintenance of the City, Inmaculada Fernández, as "there were certain streets with superficial irregularities, with their corresponding discomfort to road traffic, so there was a need to improve their asphalt ".
These works of improvement of the firm are consisting of the application of a layer of 5 centimeters thick asphalt agglomerate, on which is renewing the existing horizontal signage.

"In addition, the Local Police considered necessary in certain streets to take measures to reduce the speed of the vehicles that circulate through them," the mayor says, detailing the installation points of the new highlights: Valencia street, D Los Romeros street , avenue Ricardo Montes, service road of the N-344, road to San Juan, access to La Loma, Goya Street and José Navarro Master Street.
"We must be aware of the speed limits established in our town and respect them because, sometimes, drivers put pedestrians, other vehicles and even themselves in danger," says Fernández.
