Tomorrow, Tuesday, January 30, the "World Day of Peace" will be commemorated every year and the schoolchildren of Las Torres de Cotillas will celebrate it with a strong solidarity accent.
"Two of our schools, 'El Parque' and 'Vista Alegre', will organize their traditional charity careers to collaborate with two associations dedicated to helping the most needy", explains the Councilor for Education, Pedro Cabrera.
The school 'El Parque' will raise funds with his career (10 hours) for the local association 'Sonrisas Solidarias'.
"Each student will look for a sponsor with which he will fix the price that he will earn for each round and on the day of the race he will take a number where the laps he makes will be written to make his contribution", explains the school's director, Gerardo González.
With the motto of 'Solidarity promotes peace', the center's students will participate in this race, which will cover different routes according to age.
"Mothers, fathers or direct relatives who want to make their contribution are also invited," González declares.

For its part, the 'Vista Alegre' will celebrate the third edition of its `III Solidarity Race against child malnutrition in African countries' for the benefit of the NGO 'Save the children' (11'45 hours).
A date in which will participate its nearly 200 students and to which all members of their educational community are invited: mothers, fathers, teachers ... "We have set the symbolic collaboration of one euro for each kilometer traveled, but the donation at the end is voluntary, "says the school's director, Pedro Cano, who says that the numbers and diplomas that will be delivered will be provided by the NGO itself.
"With activities like this we want to raise awareness among children and their families that there are people in need who need our help," says Cano, who recalls that the race will be held in the center's courtyard and that each tutor will work with his group in the days previous activity on the 'World Day of Peace'.
