The Health Center of Las Torres de Cotillas already has a new pediatrician, who joins the staff of doctors who provide primary care assistance in the municipality.
"We already have four pediatricians in this service, who assist the population of children under 13 years of age, which in our municipality is around 4,000 people," explains the mayor Isabel María Zapata.
This incorporation is one of the requests made to the manager of the Murciano Health Service (SMS), Asensio López, when he visited the municipality last August.
"We also asked for the opening of a physiotherapy service and the incorporation of a nurse, a family doctor and a gynecologist," says the councilor for Health, Inmaculada Fernández, who stresses that "all these requests have great potential to be a reality soon. "
The municipality of Las Torres de Cotillas has a health center located on Reyes Católicos street, a primary care emergency service (SUAP) on Antonio Machado street and an office in the hamlet of Los Pulpites. "We consider it very important to offer quality health to our neighbors, so we work on it and go where we have to go to request improvements for our health services, "says Zapata.
