On Wednesday, January 31, the "Vista Alegre" school in Las Torres de Cotillas began the works of integral reform of the toilets for the teachers on the ground floor.
Some works that are possible thanks to the participation of Torreño workers hired in the framework of a program for long-term unemployed subsidized by the Employment and Training Service (SEF) of the regional government.
"The works have begun on the date set, as reported last week to the management and the AMPA of the center," explains the mayor Isabel María Zapata, who emphasizes that this action is possible thanks to "the joint action of the Ministry of Education, the City Council and the SEF ".
After the renovation of the toilets of the two Primary Education plants and the toilets of the Infantile building, those used by the teachers are now being reformed and one of them will be used for the disabled, since the center lacked this type of facility. cleanliness.
"In this way the benefit is twofold: to solve this request from the educational community of 'Vista Alegre' by giving work to residents of our town who were unemployed," highlights Zapata, who recalls that a few weeks ago construction was completed at this school. a new playground for the children's students.
New jobs
In addition, the upcoming improvement works in the 'Vista Alegre' are already fixed in the calendar, as reported by the Ministry of Education.
"The renovation of the roof is in the hiring service and the work will be done during the summer vacation," says the councilor for Education, Pedro Cabrera, who says that "is being finalized the valued memory to hire the renovation of the installation electrical, jobs that will be carried out this spring ".
