The athlete Torreño Angel Salinas returned to add this weekend new regional titles to his extensive track record.
It was in Lorca during the dispute of the regional championship of covered track veterans, where the gold medals of 60, 200 and 400 meters in the category of M60 were hung.
"Angel is a specialist in speed tests and is in one of his best moments, so much that this time he improved with 8'38" his personal mark in 60 meters ", points out the Councilor for Physical Activity and Sports, Ginés Pérez .
In addition, Salinas signed in the 200 meters one of his best marks (27'69 '') and in the 400 meters his best mark of the season (1: 03'83 '').
The mayor recalls that the Torreño was recognized by the Athletics Federation of Murcia (FAMU) last December as the best male veteran athlete in the 2016/17 season.
Broad curriculum
The achievements in the wide Salinas sports curriculum are many and in the last few days, the ones achieved in national veterans' championships stand out.
On the one hand, the past March was made in the contest of covered track disputed Madrid with a gold in the 400 meters smooth, a silver in the 200 and a bronze in the 60. And, by another, in June it added two silvers (100 and 400 meters) and a bronze (200 meters) in the open-air competition held in Elche.
