Torreño athlete Antonio Sales ('Club Athletics Las Torres') was awarded the gold in the 10,000 meters of the regional championship of track veterans held recently in Lorca.
Sales was proclaimed champion of this event in the category of M55 (over 55 years) with a time of 39'35 ''.
Sales thus confirms its great state of form, as evidenced by its latest great results.
"Last December he won the sixth edition of the Christmas race 'Ciudad de Murcia' and was third in the 5,000 meters of the second day of the regional cross-country league in San Pedro del Pinatar," says the councilor for Physical Activity and Sports, Ginés Pérez.

But Sales was not the only medal that the Torrena expedition took from this championship.
The athlete Rebeca Fenoll hung the bronze in the female senior category of the 3,000 meters, signing a time of 13: 16'96 ".

The veteran sprinter signed in the 200 meters one of his best marks (27'69 '') and in the 400 meters his best mark of the season (1: 03'83 '').
