On Saturday, February 10, the municipal pavilion 'Mireia Belmonte' of Las Torres de Cotillas hosted the regional final of the school badminton championship.

A tournament in which the Torrena representation reaped very good results, with three individual golds and two teams.

In double female fry were champions Melanie Peñalver and Rocío Peñalver (CES 'Susarte'), as in the men's doubles boys Iván Párraga and Naim Velasco (IES 'Salvador Sandoval') and in the doubles mixed cadet José Luis Garriga and Laura López (IES 'Salvador Sandoval').

Other highlights were the second place of Genoveva Yagües (IES 'La Florida') in the women's individual child and Matías Contreras and Javier Velázquez (IES 'Salvador Sandoval') in the boys' doubles, as well as the third of Julián Martínez and Miguel Ángel Sarabia (IES 'La Florida') in this last category.

The triumphs by teams were in the feminine alevín categories (CES 'Susarte') and infantile masculine (IES 'Salvador Sandoval'), whereas in feminine cadet the IES 'Salvador Sandoval' was raised with the third position.
