The City of Las Torres de Cotillas has received the 'Seal Infoparticipa 2017' to the quality and transparency of local public communication, awards granted by the Journalism and Communication Laboratory for Plural Citizenship (LPCCP) of the Autonomous University of Barcelona ( UAB) and the University of Murcia.
"These awards assess the degree of transparency and the promotion of citizen participation of the institutional websites of the municipalities of Murcia", explains the mayor Isabel María Zapata, who received this award on Tuesday, February 13, from the Minister of Transparency, Participation and Spokesperson, Noelia Arroyo.
Torreño City Council was recognized in 2016 for compliance with 84'62% of the indicators of this interactive tool (www.mapainfoparticipa.com), while this year that percentage has risen to 96'15% (50 indicators out of 52) .
"We have been the second in the ranking, only surpassed by Cartagena and, therefore, in front of the rest of the municipalities of the Region of Murcia," says Zapata, who stresses that "this seal has been obtained thanks to the collaboration and involvement of all employees of the City Council, framed in the firm commitment of the Consistory for the quality of service, transparency and accountability to the inhabitants of the municipality.
