The municipal facilities of Las Torres de Cotillas will host between the next 20 and 22 February the autonomic phase of the University Spain Championships of various sports.
"After the 2016 edition this year, we are once again host to this competition, specifically the rugby, volleyball, basketball and soccer tournaments," says Mayor Isabel María Zapata.
In this regional phase will participate the University of Murcia (UMU) and the Catholic University San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM), and the winners will go to the inter-regional round of the participants in the final phase of the University Spain Championship.
Four venues
The rugby tournament will be held on the municipal natural grass field on Tuesday, February 22, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, while the volleyball competition will be held between the 20th and the 22nd at the same time in the sports hall.
For its part, the basketball championship will take place on the pavilion 'Mireia Belmonte' from 20 to 22 February (from 14 a.m. to 6 p.m.), same days and times as the football will count in the field 'Onofre Fernández Verdú' .
"The handball and futsal, the other team sports that are disputed in these tournaments, will be based in the city of Murcia", specifies the councilor of Physical Activity and Sports, Ginés Pérez, whose area collaborates in these tournaments.
