The Carnival of Las Torres de Cotillas took place on Sunday, February 18, when its acts were concluded with one of the novelties presented this year: a children's parade.
At midday a delegation with more than 600 people divided into 7 comparsas, to cover the itinerary established between Juan Carlos I Avenue and Mula Street.
"It was a spectacular way to expand the activities of our Carnival, the children felt more protagonists if possible and we all enjoyed very much, so next year we will repeat", explains the mayor Isabel María Zapata.
In addition, in the afternoon the little ones could also enjoy inflatable attractions in the Esplanade Maestro Don Ángel Palazón.
A day before it was the turn of the traditional parade, in which nearly 1,000 people participated in 18 comparsas, all of them from the municipality.
A courtship full of color, imagination, dance and fun, which as every year was followed by a large audience.
Everyone to parade
A Carnival that had already lived two dates in the House of Culture 'Pedro Serna'.
On Thursday, February 15, the 'I Chirigotas de Carnaval Contest' was held, another of the novel events in these celebrations in the municipality.
In it they imposed 'Las Chiriwoman', integrated only by women and champion, and had a stalls full of people.
In addition, on Friday, February 16, the reading of the Carnival proclamation took place, which was given by the children's school 'Soletes' in the voice of Toñi Jiménez and Loli Dólera.
An evening in which also the comparsas participants in the parades this weekend received a diploma accrediting their contribution to these celebrations.
As closure, the night featured the performances of the chirigotas that the day before were first and second (the 'Chirigota Caravaca Chirigotín') in the contest.
