The Ministry of the Presidency has granted a subsidy to the City of Las Torres de Cotillas of 51,121 euros to develop in the municipality a project of training and employment for young unemployed people.
"The professional profile will be the waiter of warehouse-carretillero, one of the jobs that most demand the companies of our municipality, which stands out for its industrial activity," says the mayor Isabel María Zapata, who explains that this aid comes from the Fund European Social Program aimed at the sustainable integration of young people in the labor market, in the context of the National Youth Guarantee System.
The participants will be part of this project for six months, a period that will be divided into training (five months) and internships in local companies (one month).
"There are 15 places that will be offered and those interested in obtaining more information can contact the Local Development Agency or the guidance services of Youth Guarantee that are on the ground floor of City Hall," says Councilman Employment, Angel Gonzalez , which emphasizes that students must be under 30 years of age and once they have passed this training they will receive their corresponding certificate of professionalism.
The novelty of this project, unlike other training activities, is that it incorporates an economic aid to participating students consisting of a scholarship for attendance.
Other initiatives
This labor insertion project joins others that the Torreño City Council has started up in the municipality for the unemployed group.
For example, in one of them and thanks to a grant from the Employment and Training Service (SEF) of the regional government of 108,300 euros, two cleaners, two painters, a bricklayer and a bricklayer will be added to the municipal staff thanks to this project. pawn.
In another, the SEF has also granted - within the National Youth Guarantee System - a total of 186,000 euros for two mixed employment and training workshops, one for cleaning in open spaces and industrial facilities and another for street cleaning, which have allowed the hiring a total of 22 people who were unemployed.
