The autonomic phase of the University Championship of Spain of sports is disputed during these days in the municipal facilities of Las Torres de Cotillas.

Specifically, it is about the rugby tournaments (municipal field of natural grass), volleyball (pavilion of the sports center), basketball (pavilion 'Mireia Belmonte') and football (field 'Onofre Fernández Verdú'), in a regional round in which they participate the University of Murcia (UMU), the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) and the Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM).

"Until tomorrow, Thursday, February 22, we can enjoy this high-level sports tournament, which was already the venue for the 2016 edition," says Mayor Isabel María Zapata, who explains that the winners will go to the inter-regional round of the event. will leave the participants in the final phase of the University Spain Championship.
