The association 'Sherezade Color Esperanza' of Las Torres de Cotillas has been the new beneficiary of the donations of bibliographic material that the 'Fundación Carmen Montero Medina' periodically makes to the entities of the municipality.
The delivery was made on the morning of Thursday, February 22, in the plenary hall of the Torreño City Council and was attended by Mayor Isabel María Zapata.
"The association 'Sherezade Color Esperanza' is an organization that works in Las Torres de Cotillas for the inclusion of people affected by functional diversity," explains Zapata, who was accompanied by Vicente Fernández, a representative of the foundation, and several members of the association.
The donated books are a representative sample of the literary work of Carmen Montero Medina, as novels, works of aphorisms, stories and poems.
"There are already many Torrena associations and teaching and neighborhood centers that have received this material, in fact, the foundation has already donated about 4,000 books with this initiative," says the mayor, who recalls that the last beneficiaries were a few days ago. 'Las Torres Commercial Area' and 'Pure Heart'.
It should be remembered that Carmen Montero is 'Adoptive Daughter' of Las Torres de Cotillas and her foundation organizes every year in the municipality an international contest of poetry that is now in its eighth edition.
