The City of Las Torres de Cotillas has warned of a wave of cases of cable theft of public lighting installations throughout the municipality.
"We detected throughout the month of February the theft of this material in various parts of the town, with its corresponding deficiencies in the service", explains the mayor Isabel María Zapata, who notes that "many neighbors have reported that they have seen operators with blue overalls in broad daylight opening the boxes and pulling cable, which do not belong to the company responsible for the service ".
The investigation of the Local Police is already under way and to have as much information as possible from the Torreño Consistory, they ask their neighbors to alert the security body (968.624.092) to any minimum suspicion.
"It is everyone's problem and therefore, in addition to putting all the means at our disposal to solve it, we request neighborhood collaboration," says the councilor.
