Athlete Torreño Angel Salinas has once again expanded his vast list of winners.
He did it this weekend at the XXIX Spanish Championship of indoor track veterans held in Salamanca and where gold and silver were hung.
"Angel revalidated his title in the 400 meters by signing his best mark and was again second as last year in the 200 meters, both tests in the category of over 60 years," explains the councilor of Physical Activity and Sports Ginés Pérez
The athlete of the club 'Athletics Las Torres' stopped the clock to take the gold in 1:01:95, beating Agustín Martín (1:02:02), Domingo Álvarez (1:02:62) and Ramiro Méndez (1 : 05: 92).
"In 200 meters he made 27'83 '', which is a great mark too, while in 60 meters flat with 8'54 '' he could only be fourth", says the mayor, who returns "to congratulate him for these achievements , which show that their spirit of improvement has no limits. "
Broad curriculum
The achievements in Salinas' extensive sports curriculum in the veterans category are many.
For example, in the last regional indoor championship the gold medals of 60, 200 and 400 meters were hung, while in the past national outdoor championship played in June in Elche added two silvers (100 and 400 meters) and a bronze (200 meters).
