The General Director of Sports Alonso Gómez visited last Wednesday March 7 the last work that has been done in the municipal sports facilities of Las Torres de Cotillas.
Accompanied by the mayor Isabel María Zapata and the councilor of Physical Activity and Sports Ginés Pérez, the first stop was made in the 7 football field located next to the House of Culture 'Pedro Serna'.
"A few weeks ago this field that was of land gave a leap of quality by premiering new artificial turf, a project that had an investment of more than 136,000 euros," says Zapata, indicating that now these facilities "offer cross-country two 5-a-side soccer fields, with a lawn accredited by the FIFA Laboratory Test. "
Then the delegation went to the natural grass field to visit the new recreational area of ​​this sports infrastructure where football and rugby are practiced.
"These novelties include picnic tables, trees to generate shaded areas and a water source," says Pérez, who points out that these works were made thanks to a grant from the General Sports Directorate.
"In addition, in this sports space had already made a series of previous actions, such as improving lighting, the placement of several banks and containers for material and a tier," says Perez, who notes that these improvements in particular form part of the 'Master Plan'.
Some actions coordinated by the Department of Physical Activity and Sports, and that of Urban Planning that aim to "improve the facilities and municipal sports facilities taking into account the collaboration and needs of clubs and sports associations," as explained by the mayor.
