The councils of Education and Public Safety of Las Torres de Cotillas have closed on Wednesday morning March 14 a new edition of the road safety education campaign organized in collaboration with the Directorate General of Traffic (DGT), the Local Police and the local body of Civil Protection.
"Nearly 700 schoolchildren have participated in the cycles of 5-year-olds, 4º of Primary and 2º of Secondary", explains the Councilor for Education Pedro Cabrera, who has attended the closing day held at the municipal sports center.
"In the theoretical phase carried out in their centers the students were trained on traffic rules, which they then put into practice on bicycles in the circuit of the municipal sports center road park, which thanks to the DGT has had traffic lights, zebra crossings or stops ", says Cabrera.
Demonstration
On this last day the participating students have received their corresponding diplomas, in a morning in which the best 'drivers' of the practical classes have made a demonstration of what they have learned.
This year the centers of the municipality participating in this proposal have been the following: 'Valentín Buendía', 'Vista Alegre', 'El Parque', 'Cervantes',' Divino Maestro ',' Monteazahar ',' Susarte ',' San José 'and' Joaquín Cantero ', as well as the IES' Salvador Sandoval 'and' La Florida '.
