Holy Week 2018 has already begun in Las Torres de Cotillas.
He did it officially on the afternoon of Saturday, March 17, with two outstanding acts that counted on a great crowd: on the one hand, the traditional homage to the Nazarene;
and, on the other, the proclamation read by the former mayor Domingo Coronado.
"Domingo has always shown his affection and affection for the Holy Week of our town and with this recognition we have wanted to give him back all the effort he has put into making it grow during his 14 years as mayor," explains the president of the Cabildo, José Sánchez.
The tribute to the Nazarene, with the mayor Isabel María Zapata and the president of the Cabildo Superior de Cofradías, local José Sánchez, took place in the Plaza Mayor and had a wreath.
Later, a procession was started with banners of the brotherhoods of Torrena through the streets of the municipality to the Church of Our Lady of Salceda.
That was where Coronado offered his proclamation, in an act in which Antonio Hernández was also distinguished as 'Nazarene of the Year', to which his special dedication to Torrena Holy Week in all aspects has been recognized.
