The road education campaign of Las Torres de Cotillas has new objectives this year.
After fulfilling the traditional theoretical and practical training for schoolchildren in the municipality, now faces new challenges.
"Preventing childhood injuries and raising awareness among older people are the new objectives that have now been raised in this campaign," explains Councilor for Education Pedro Cabrera, whose area coordinates this initiative with the Department of Public Safety and with the collaboration of the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT), the Local Police and the civil protection body of the municipality.
For this reason, on Thursday, March 22 (11:30 a.m.), a talk will be held at the Health Center 'Program for the prevention of child injuries when traveling in vehicles.' "And on Wednesday, April 18 (11 hours) will give a talk on road education at the Home for the Elderly in which they will talk about the problems of the use of drugs and driving, and respect for road signs on the road, both in vehicle and as pedestrians.
"In addition, there will be a follow-up in schools for students of 6 years to perform work in their classes, which at the end of the course will be exposed," says Cabrera.
