The group of amateur theater 'Tejuba' of Las Torres de Cotillas will premiere tomorrow Saturday March 24 (21 hours) at the House of Culture 'Pedro Serna' -with free admission- a new work that will add to its repertoire: 'La zapatera prodigiosa ', by Federico García Lorca.
"It is a work that for more than 20 years has been several times in portfolio and we have not been able to represent", explains its director Joaquín Cantero, who notes that 'La Casa de Bernarda Alba' is a work of his catalog and after that work wanted to "represent something lighter and fun of the great author from Granada".
Torrena amateur actors have been submerged in the last weeks in the trials of 'La zapatera prodigiosa', which will be his masterpiece in 2019. "It is the representation that we will take to all our appointments next year," says Cantero, who remembers that for this his main work is 'Bajar al moro' his star work.
"His next performance will be on May 12 in El Palmar," says the director of the Torreño group.
The group 'Tejuba' has more than half a century of history - was born in 1966 under the direction of the longed Juan Baño - and behind his back has a repertoire of over 40 works.
