The road education campaign of Las Torres de Cotillas taught at the local Health Center on Thursday March 22 the talk 'Program of prevention of child injuries in vehicle travel.
With the collaboration of professionals from the Directorate General of Traffic (DGT), this talk informed attendees that injuries caused by traffic accidents are one of the main public health problems, with a special impact on children.
Special emphasis was placed on adequate prevention and the use of appropriate restraint systems, which reduce the risk of injury by 75% and the risk of infant death in these movements by 90%.
"This year this campaign has new goals this year, because after fulfilling the traditional theoretical-practical training to schoolchildren in the municipality is focusing its training to other groups," says the Councilor for Police, Civil Protection, Proposals and Citizen Defense , whose area coordinates with that of Education this proposal in which the Local Police and the Civil Protection body of the municipality also collaborate.
Within its new challenges in the municipality next Wednesday, April 18 (11 hours) will be taught at the Home for the Elderly a talk on road safety in which they will talk about the problems of the use of drugs and driving, and the respect to traffic signals when traveling, both in vehicles and as pedestrians.
