The Association of Families and Mental Illness of Murcia (AFES) celebrates on Wednesday, April 11 (10:30 pm) in the municipal sports center of Las Torres de Cotillas the 'International Day of Sport for Development and Peace'.
It will do so in collaboration with the Department of Physical Activity and Sports, proposing various activities.
First it will be on the football field 11, where an open-air yoga workshop will be held for the participants to bring their own mat.
The morning will be completed with a healthy lunch and a dance workshop on the skating rink of the municipal complex.
"It will be a great day of coexistence, in which sport will be a perfect tool to enjoy the morning," explains the mayor Isabel María Zapata.
Since 1980
AFES is an entity created in 1980 that works to improve the quality of life of people with mental illness and their families.
Las Torres de Cotillas has a day center, which has a capacity of 45 accredited places and 19 arranged with the Murciano Institute of Social Action (IMAS), and a residence with 20 places arranged with the IMAS.
In addition, it has another day center in Murcia with a capacity for 159 people.
