The amateur theater group 'Tejuba' from Las Torres de Cotillas and the literary association 'Las Torres' celebrated an act of tribute to the former mayor of the municipality Domingo Coronado, which took place on the night of Saturday, April 14 at the Casa de the Culture 'Pedro Serna'.
Framed in the programming of the Department of Culture, this event featured a reading of poems composed in honor of the honoree, as well as other literary pieces, and the representation by local actors of a piece of 'The Revenge of Don Mendo '.
It should be recalled that Coronado left the mayor of Las Torres de Cotillas last November, after 14 years in office, and was replaced by Isabel María Zapata, who was also present at the evening.
Two more appointments
This program of cultural activities still has two appointments this month in the Torreño municipality.
On Saturday, April 21 (22 hours) Paco Urbano will offer a concert and on Saturday April 28 (18 hours) the play 'How to be a good Quixote' will be performed.
"To celebrate the 'World Book Day' we will have this fun children's work within the 'Plan Scene' of the regional government," explains the mayor.
