The Department of Social Policy, Gender and Development Cooperation Cotillas Towers has scheduled a year the "socio-building program for immigrant children, which will include free tuition and will run between this October and next of June.
The objectives are sought with this activity-school enrichment classes and teaching Spanish to immigrant children with adjustment problems, are to promote equality and integration of immigrant children in the municipality and facilitate language acquisition, habits and patterns, age-appropriate education.
Aimed at children in the municipality of between 6 and 12 years enrolled in municipal schools, will run from October 4 Monday through Thursday afternoons at various community centers in the municipality.
This proposal, sponsored by the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration of the regional government, will be conducted by the social educator of that program with the collaboration of voluntary municipal volunteer program.
"This program seeks to provide educational support to immigrant children of our community who need it, while offering them a reinforcement of values such as tolerance, respect and coexistence without prejudice," said Fina Almela, Councillor responsible for the area Torrena .
