The City of Las Torres de Cotillas already has launched a new edition of its Initial Vocational Training Program, "which in the 2010-2011 academic year, offering workshops in the form of professional specialties, plumbing and air conditioning operations, and auxiliary operations vehicle maintenance.
Funded by the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment of the Regional Government with a total investment of 86,600 euros, this program has been extended until the end of September 2011.
"In these courses, students alternate theory and practice in the municipal own workshop, repairing inter alia, municipal vehicles," said Councilman Torreño Education, Pedro Cabrera, who notes that are currently participating, "12 students in plumbing, air conditioning and 15 in vehicle maintenance. "
Internships
It should be noted that students who complete this program with suitable qualification perform 150 hours of internship work in private companies not the county (between June and July 2011), through an agreement between the municipality and the company Torreño .
