The municipality of Las Torres de Cotillas expands its sports today with the inauguration of a complex that includes a new sports pavilion, heated pool, four paddle courts and two tennis courts, to which is added to improve access to area, actions whose implementation has been a total investment of nine million euros, of which the Autonomous Community has contributed one million.
The Minister of Presidency and Public Administration, María Pedro Reverte, the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, and the mayor of Las Torres de Cotillas, Domingo Coronado, today opened new facilities, which represent a significant increase in the sporting activities the town and meets the needs of the residents, by providing them a wide range of activities.
The action taken on the new access to the municipal sports complex Reyes Católicos Avenue is the construction of three roundabouts, two of them at the intersection with Avenue, and another next to the new indoor pool.
This action allows you to sort the incoming traffic to the facility.
Multipurpose facilities
The heated swimming pool covers a floor space of 5,523 meters square and will serve more than a thousand users per year in the various activities planned, from learning for children, birth preparation exercises, gerontonatación and rehabilitation of older people, along with competitions and events organized in this new space.
This infrastructure has two parts, one heated, with two glasses (adults and children or other activities) and other up with two other vessels.
It has also built a 267-seat grandstand, changing rooms, nursing, access control, warehouses, offices, meeting rooms, bar, function rooms for physiotherapy and other activities, etc.
The new pavilion, next to the pool with a floor space from 1842 square meters, has a track to practice different sports such as handball, basketball, indoor football or volleyball, among others.
The expansion of the municipal sports offer is completed with six new sports courts, four paddle courts and two tennis courts.
